Happy Holidays

Hi all! I am just popping in quickly to share a card I made to enter a few challenges! I recently found CLP  Challenge Blog and Live and Love Crafts Challenge blog and I absolutely love the creations their DT's have made. These crafters are so talented and so inspiring! This card uses the CLP  sketch and fits the Christmas theme of the Live and Love Crafts challenge!

I tried my hand at a spotted shadow: it needs some work! Wild Orchid Craft flowers and My Mind's Eye papers were used. The heart charm with bling is from a necklace I bought at the 99 cent store. It came with 2 other hearts; one the same size and one slightly bigger. I used glitter glue on my cookies for sprinkles.

I purchased some random Copics and wanted to color with them, so I experimented with ones I already had to make it work. The dress is RV000, my new RV93, and R81. The skin and hair are my usual and the boots are done with my new E43 plus W1, 3 and 5. Yes, random, but my local shops carry random colors and I shopped Small Business Saturday to get them!
Thanks for looking and I hope you like my card! Have a great weekend!

Winter Scene

It is time for another challenge over at Stamptacular SundayThis week's challenge is a…

“Winter Bliss!”

For this weeks challenge you will create a card or project that has a WINTER SCENE!  You can use a single stamp that is a winter scene BUT…if you create a winter scene all on your own your name will be entered into our drawing THREE times!  Please be sure to let us know in your post if the scene created in your masterpiece was an original by you or if it was a stamped image!  Oh…and don’t forget to STAMP!  Afterall…we don’t call this the STAMPtacular Sunday Challenge for nothing!
You will have from now until midnight (EST) December 1st, 2012 to complete this challenge and post a DIRECT LINK to your submission into our InLinkz in order to be entered into the drawing for this week's fabulous prize donated by:
PRIZE:  Winner's Choice of 2 Digis!

I used "Winter Fairy Halla" from Mo's Digital Pencil. She is just adorable!  I got an amazing deal at Michaels for some small vintage Christmas stamps and I used the tree stamp for my scene background. I stamped with Weathered Wood Distress Ink twice and a third time without re-inking for some more distant looking trees. I then covered them is snow glitter!  The die cut trees were cut with my Silhouette and dabbed with Picket Fence.

The metal corner is from Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment frame is from Whimsy Stamps and my "Merry Christmas" stamp from the Michael's set fit perfectly into it! I added glitter to my Copic colored fairy and some bling to my sentiment. Some lace, twine and bells finish it off!

Oh, she is adorable! Love Mo images! Thanks for looking and don't forget to join Stamptacular's challenge this week and to check out the other amazing creations my teammates have to inspire you with!

Pretty Bouquet

I hope everyone had a fulfilling ;) Thanksgiving. I am pooped, but I had made this card yesterday and wanted to show you all! I have used a Lili of the Valley pre-colored die cut from a prize win i mentioned a couple of posts earlier. I really didn't know if I would use it because I like to color my own images, but it came in handy for a quick card fix for this paper junkie!  It is super cute and luckily enough it went along with The Ribbon Girls challenge of shades of purple!

The sentiment is computer generated and all the flowers except for the deeper purple peony are Wild Orchid Crafts. The papers are Prima's Nature Garden. I glitter glued the butterflies (and looking now I see I have overlooked one, darn it!) I also added some Liquid Pearls around her.  The sketch is for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and I have managed to cover up all but a tiny corner of the black flowered paper layer! This is the sketch:

Papertake Weekly (Ribbon and Pearls)
Creative Card Crew (Anything Goes)
Cupcake Craft Challenges (Paper Pleating)

Spring Bringer Resprung!

I am being naughty and crafting instead of prepping for the big Turkey day we are hosting tomorrow! I finished a card I started last night and I am so happy with it! I used "Springbringer" by Sylvia Zet. I first made her into a fall fairy for my Stamptacular Sunday debut. You can see her in my post here. This time I made her more in the spring style with soft colors!

I used Prima Madeline papers, Wild Orchid Crafts roses and the peonies are Prima. I used seam binding that I had dyed using Victorian Velvet Distress Ink! The crochet ribbon is from my grandmother, originally bought for a dress I made for my daughter! The cute little "Made with love" charm is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and I made the pleated kraft card fan with Martha Stewart"s Doily punch. I distressed the pages with scissors and Vintage Photo and sewed around some of the layers, but it is not showing up too well in the photo!

She is colored with Copics: my usual skin E00,000,11 R20 hair E50,51,53,57 Clothes RV000, R81,83,85 BG10,15 C0 W3 and colorless blender, shadow C0

Warmest Wishes!

I'm back with another Tiddly Inks "Cocoa Wishes" card! I hope I don't bore you with repeat images so close together, but I find I like coloring up multiples of the same image different ways as soon as I get them. That way they are still new and fun for me! This one is a Christmas card through and through!

I used the sketch from The Sketchy Challenges! I just found this blog and I am so happy as they have fantastic sketches! And a talented Design Team!

I used My Mind's Eye paper pads: Traveler and Union Square. All Wild Orchid Craft flowers!!
It seems I am obsessed with adding jingle bells to my cards at the moment! The rhinestones are colored with Copics, as is my image.

I had it in my head that I was going to have a sweet red bird on the plate, so what did I do? I started coloring the plate with red, doh! Now I have an exotic green bird, instead!
Copics: hair and shoes E11,15,18,57; Skin E000,00,11 R20,22
Clothes YG03,63,67 E50,51,53
Mug and plate R32,35,37,59

As always, thank you for looking!

I'd like to enter this card in to the following challenges:

Cocoa Wishes

So, I was finally able to make a card 'just because' today!  Yesterday I bought this cute Tiddly Inks image called "Cocoa Wishes" and had to color her up!  I used the sentiment that I saw on one of the inspiration cards on the Tiddly Inks blog because it was so corny cute!

The sketch is from 2 Sisters Challenge, which I really like! The flowers are WOC and the leaves are a Martha Stewart border punch! I used some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to ink some of the papers and the bling are iridescent ones from my stash!

Copics: Skin E000, 00, 11, R20
Hair E11, 13, 15, 18, 57
Pant, Bird and Shoes E50, 51, 53
Aqua B00, 02, BG10, 15
Shadow BV31, C0

Thanks for taking a look and please leave me a comment to tell me what you think! Also, if you are not already, become a follower if you like what you see! It makes my day to know that there are people out there who like what I do, since no one around me IRL understands my obsession;)

Someone Needs a Hug

***This is my second post, so if your'e looking for my Stamptacular DT post, it's the previous post*****

Oh, Friday was a wonderful day! My LOTV winnings from a Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge came in the mail today after a super long wait (okay, the wait was expected, but I'm an instant gratification kinda gal)! I picked out two sweet images and "Never too Old for a Hug" was the first one to get colored up! This was my first time actually using a rubber image! I always use digital, so I found it tricky getting a nice even stamp. I need to look up some tips and tricks, so if anyone can help me out, I'd totally appreciate it!

I used Prima Madeline papers, Wild Orchid Crafts roses (Prima non-roses) and my brand new Spellbinders die (60% off Joann's coupon used at Michaels, woot woot!) The sketch I used is the current challenge for Cute Card Thursday:

Isn't she sweet? I colored her with Copics: E000, 00, 11, R20 (skin);
E51, 53, 11, 13, 15, 18 (hair);
R81, 83, 85, YG03, 63,67 (clothes and wings);

Thanks for looking!

So, if I were you, I would totally get in on that action!
I have never worked with Magnolia stamps before, so my fabulous teamie, Chris, sent me my very first Tilda! Without further ado here is my card!

"Tilda with Long Hair" is colored with Copics and I added glitter glue to her hat and mitts. A single Wild Orchid Craft rose to give the ribbon a little extra something. Faux stitching around the image and some Vintage Photo distress ink around all the paper. The papers are MME Traveler. A Martha Stewart punch around the page for behind the ribbon and the corners of the tag!

My little tag :)

Winter Fairy Talva

*****My Stamptacular Sunday DT post is two posts down.****

OMG! I love this image! I was so excited to color it up I couldn't wait for my husband to print it at work, so I did it at home with ink incompatible with Copics and did my best to stay away from the lines. I was unsuccessful at times, but it was so worth it! This is Winter Fairy Talva by Mo Manning! I've been eyeing her for a couple months and finally bought her!

I used the sketch from Papertake Weekly:
sketch #73
I used Copics BG 10 and 15. And E 50, 00, 11 & R20 for skin. E 50, 51, 53 and colorless blender for hair.
I had some snow white glitter to use on the snow bits and glitter glue for the furry bits! The snowflake was cut with my Silhouette and the flowers are WOC!

I colored up another one in pink that I haven't made into a card yet. Maybe the laundry can wait one more day!?!

Kenny K Krafty Krew DT Call Submission!

Okay, be warned this post is all about cards I have already posted about but would like to share for the DT call going on over at Kenny K's Krafty Krew
I've inherited the theory from my mother that is best not to discuss the things you are planning or hoping for in case they fall through, so I am hoping I am not jinxing my chances to become part of Kenny 's K Krafty Krew. I wanted to show them with this post several cards that I have done so as to not put all my chances on one card taking (or not taking) their fancy. For anyone who has followed me longer than a couple weeks, they know that I LOVE working with Kenny K digital stamps! So, without further ado...

This was my very first card ever made with my very first image I ever bought, first card ever entered into a challenge and the challenge was a Kenny K one in which I won and became totally hooked! A sign?  ;)

Add caption

That's most of my Kenny K cards since I started almost four months ago! I hope everyone wishes me luck and if I don't make it, I'll be crushed, I'll hopefully, keep improving and try again next time!

It's a Sketch!

It's a sketch challenge this week at Stamptacular Sunday! This week we are sponsored by Marianne Design and this is the sketch:

For my card I decided to rotate the sketch to have the sentiment at the top. I went for a fun, young card with a Kenny K image called 'Troublemaker'. I really enjoyed coloring her, but then again I always have fun with Kenny K images!

I've used My Mind's Eye paper. I love the white washed wood paper from the Dolled Up pad! I thought it was really fun. I paired it with a polka dot paper from the Portabello pad and the pink paper from the Madison pad. I fussy cut the banner from another Madison paper and added the sentiment using my letter stamps and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.

Another flower free card! I really love how it came together and how young, fresh and not too girly it looks! I hope you all like it, too, and try the sketch to join in the Stamptacular Sunday challenge! Don't forget to check out what the Stamptacular DT came up with. It's amazing the different looks you can get with the same basic sketch!

I'd like to enter this challenge into the following challenges:
Dream Valley (Glitter and Bling)
The Paper Shelter (Anything Goes)
Little Miss Muffet Challenge (Fireworks Inspiration-bling flourish)
Card Makin Mamas (Anything Goes)
Gem of a Challenge (Dots or Spots)
