Early Christmas!

I'm back this time with a Christmas card! I found a blog called Copic Oz and they have a winter themed challenge. It was a good as time as ever to get a head start on some Christmas cards and this is what I came up with.

I got the image off the internet for free and it's is pretty cute. It's a little pixlated because it is meant as a coloring page for kids!
I used Copics and My Minds Eye Paper.

My 7 year old son was really impressed with how I colored her dress, which made me really happy!!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Mad for Markers ( winter)
Copic Oz (anything goes)
Simon Says Stamp (anything goes)

Edited: I was in such a rush to enter a closing challenge, I forgot to add the links. Oops!

Some Girly Steampunk

Have I mentioned how I love coloring Kenny K digi stamps?  Well, I do!  And to prove it, here is another image I selected when I won the Kenny K's Krafty Krew Challenge Blog. Whew, what a mouthful! This is Jayne Jetpack!

Colored with Copics: R81, 83, bit of 85 and blender
CO, 3, 5, 7, 9 and the hair has a bit of B37? (wish I had left out)
E50, 00, 11, R20 for skin

I used papers from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Madison avenue and Harper,s Boutique by Paper Studio. the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima. I distressed the papers and the tips of the small and medium roses with Tim Holts Distress inks Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose. And used Victorian Velvet on the seam binding!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

House Building!

I built a house! The card was for a housewarming party we went to the day before leaving for vacation! I didn't get a chance to upload it 'til now.

I tried to replicate the house as best as I could. I designed it entirely using my Silhouette, except for the flora. I was so proud of myself that I had the house designed and everything was going well. The day of the party I started cutting and assembling only to have my computer decide that it was the perfect time to reconfigure and shut down. Silly me didn't save my project and with only bits of the house cut, there was no way to continue. I had to redo the whole house and rush through it as my husband was yelling up the stairs that it was time to go!
We gave them a cash gift which is why the card is so long. Inside, I printed an image of a couch big enough to use as the pocket to hold the cash. The money was in small enough denominations so that it made the couch very cushy ;)
I popped up the garage on foam dimensionals and used my score board to add texture to the garage door. I added glossy accents to the garage windows and house windows and colored the driveway with copics. I had ideas to do more, but time and my inability to save things were my enemy.
The recipients got a kick out of the card, so it all worked out!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenge:
Card Makin' Mamas (Try Something New)

Black, White and Sexy all Over!

Wow, it's been awhile since I've been on! For good reason though. We went on a mini vacation before school starts for the older boys. Fun, fun! So, I was itching to make a card and when we got back I got to it. This is what I came up with. I still need to improve my photo taking, so I apologize in advance.

I colored her with Copics: C0, 3,5,7, and 9; E50, 00, 11 and R20 and 85. Definitely am adding the warm grays to my list for a different look. I stopped at Hobby Lobby while we were vacationing in Vegas, since there isn't one very close to home. I bought this paper among others, so I had to use it right away!
I think the card looks better in person which is upsetting since I can't seem to take a decent picture or fix it in photo shop. Will definitely have to play around with it!

Tequila Time!

I saw this image at Kenny K Downloads and new exactly how I wanted to use it! Ever since I got into card making a couple months ago, I have wanted to make a spinner card. I saw them on you tube and thought they were really neat. This is what I came up with.

I colored the worm with copics and BIC markers and also the green paper as I have a very limited color selection! The images in the corner are off the web and popped up on foam tape.

I think this is the closest to a CAS card as I have ever made! I hope you all like it. I do miss all the embellies, but this was a fun change!

Blackberry Ice Cream

I'm back with another card! Yes, this is another 'Lady Raven" digi from Kenny K Downloads. Long story short, I got some new violet Copics and  an E50, so I wanted to test them out on a image I already had printed, because who can wait to print a new image out when you get new toys to play with? So, I was so pleased with how her skin and clothes came out I had to make a card specially for her. And, this is what I came up with! For Kenny K's Krafty Krew Challenge, blackberry is the ice cream theme I am going for in honor of the blackberries I have in the freezer from our garden waiting to be used !

I made the flower about a month ago and thought it was perfect for this card! The papers are from Prima's Nature Garden, beautiful! The bling is Say it in Crytsals, I think, and the metal corners are from Wild Orchid Crafts! I used a Martha Stewart punch for scallops and it does a beautiful job of standing in for lace. I have a hard time with using lace, especially black lace. To me it looks lingerie-like and out of place on a card, but my taste changes frequently and I am slowly warming up to the idea.
Here's my beautiful lady colored up. I need to practice more with black hair, but I am really happy with her light and bright face. I swear her butt has more shading IRL! Kenny K images are so fun to color, but I,at least, need to venture away from Lady R for a little bit!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Kenny K's Krafty Krew (ice cream- blackberry)
Dream Valley Challenges (die cuts and punches- doily lace punch)
Shopping Our Stash (monochromatic)

Thanks for having a look and keeping me inspired. I don't know how you crafty peeps do it! It's so fun, but without you guys to look up to and be inspired by, I wouldn't be able to do it! The creativity and talent out there is astounding, intimidating and motivating! Which bring me to saying a big thank you for all the challenge blogs out there and their fabulous DT's !!!

Ava's Outside!

Hi all! I'm back with "Ava" again, a sweet image  from Saturated Canary. I am so happy with how her hair turned out! I didn't have an outdoors-y digi, so I put Ava outdoors. I sponged the background using Distress inks and a little paper cloud stencil I made. It looks good for my first attempt! The grass is done with my Bic markers, so it's not as nicely tapered like it would be with Copics. Clothes are done with Bics, also.

A close up of my fabulous hair job;)
I put glitter glue on the edges of the flower petals to go with the glitter on the DCWV paper. I used an older sketch from Graphicat Sketches (sketch 4).

Another Ryder Cole!

So, there is another B-Day coming up for another special little boy and since I already had the stamp from Kenny K half colored and some leftover paper from my card yesterday, I thought I would quickly make another with just slight changes. I changed up the colors of the clothes and thought I would add a button I've had forever and some of my new twine from Wild Orchid Crafts! The image is also popped up with foam dimensionals!
I noticed as soon as I took the picture that in the bottom right corner is "still hungry?," which is so perfect because the boy who will be receiving this can sure put down some food!

I took a picture of the inside of yesterday's card after I posted it, so here it is. I'm pretty happy with it. I think the little money pocket I sewed on is so cute!

Ryder Cole!

I received my digis from Kenny K and the first one  I colored up was 'Ryder Cole' !   It was perfect timing, since I needed to make a six year olds birthday card!

I still only have a few cool gray copics, a few skin colors and my Bic markers, so my coloring choices were limited. I think he turned a pretty good. I still need to figure out the shading, but to my beginners eye it works! I chose the colors based on the photo inspiration for Simon Says Stamp Callenge.

After I colored him up I went to my local scrap shop and found this cool paper to go along with the color scheme and feel of the card! I also used the sketch from the Sweet Stop. Too bad I did it a day late to enter  it in their challenge. That's twice now!  I gotta get organized!  The sentiment I typed up on the old computer. Well, I hope you all like it and especially the boy who will be receiving it!

Mariposa!

This card I have made is another Saturated Canary digi! Another freebie called 'Canary Love'. I again used skin tone Copics for her hair and used my Bic Mark-ups for the other colors! I can't wait until I havve Copics in every color! One day! Maybe:) I was so proud of the job I did on her hair, but I am a little disappointed overall with the card. I think it may be the colors or the paper? The paper is from the DCWV Mariposa stack and I bought it on impulse because it was such a good price. Maybe it's the orange cardstock. Maybe orange isn't my thing? But the paper is perfect for the Shopping Our Stash Challenge- What was I thinking?

The sketch is a great one from Graphicat, I just hope I did it justice! The card needed a little something, so I added glitter to the flowers and liquid pearls to the butterflies I punched out!

Saturated Canary!

Hi all! I have made another card! Yay me!  This one is made with a digital image that Krista from Saturated Canary offered for free! I believe she is called "Jules". I love her images. I wanted to join the Saturated Canary Challenge this week (but i realized I was a day or so too late after I colored it!), so I colored her up with pinks and blacks and used Almanac paper from Prima. Love that paper line! I used the wonderful sketch from Paper Take Weekly!

Since I only have a few skin tone Copics and a few Greys, this is the best I could do. Hopefully, when I get my wonderful Ciao Copics from Be Scrappy, I will be able to do real blonde hair, but I think the pinky strawberry blonde works for my color scheme this time, thankfully!

Oh! What a terrible picture! Sorry 'bout that! It is an easel card, but because it was made for pleasure, I don't know who, what or when I am giving it away to I didn't add the Sentiment yet.

I would like to link this card up to the following fabulous challenges:
