Two's Company

***This is my second post today, so please scroll down to see my Kenny K DT card if you haven't seen it                   already! ***

Good morning again everyone! I am so glad it is a three day weekend as I am sick again:( I don't know what's going on, but I just keep catching everything these last few months. Ugh! The good thing though is that it is another challenge at Stamptacular Sunday!

This week's challenge is a…
“TWO’s Company!”

For this weeks challenge you will create a card that uses 2 stamps, 2 colors and 2 embellishments!  Oh…and don’t forget to STAMP!  Afterall…we don’t call this the STAMPtacular Sunday Challenge for nothing!
You will have from now until midnight (EST) February 23rd, 2012 to complete this challenge and post a DIRECT LINK to your submission into our InLinkz in order to be entered into the drawing for this week's fabulous prize donated by:
PRIZE:  $10 GIFT CERTIFICATE!

For my card, I used "Wish Upon a Star" from Lili of the Valley. I've had it for awhile and finally colored her up and got her on a card.

The papers are MME In Bloom. The flowers are Wild Orchid Craft and the perfect sentiment is a Whimsy Stamp. I finally remembered to use my ticket die to cut it out! So, the flowers and the die cuts are my two embellishments and my two colors are peachy-pink and yellow. You might be able to tell from my image close up that I got a little caught up in the decorating that I almost put too many embellies on! I made a tulle bow with a charm and adhered it, took a picture and then remembered what the challenge was all about! Whoops! Thankfully it came off easily.

Isn't she sweet? I used R81, 83, 85 to color her and then went over it with a little R20 and 22 to try and give it a little more of a peachy tint. I have had the heather flowers for a while and finally used them. They were white and I used a little paint in a mini mister with water and sprayed them. I also colored the largest peachy flower, too.
I thought I'd try something different and stamp the image using gray. I think the no line stamping that some people do is interesting, but I still really like the look of a slight line. So, I thought gray was a nice middle ground and I really like the softness it give the image compared to black.

I hope this gives some inspiration to someone out there! Make sure to stop by the Stamptacular blog to see what the other talented DT ladies have to share!

Challenges I'd like to enter:
A Gem of a Challenge (Dies and Punches)
Papertake Weekly (Hearts/Flowers)
CMC (Girly/Feminine)
ABC-Challenge (H-Happy Birthday)
QKR Stampede (A. G.)

  1. Danielle, this card is exceptionally beautiful and so well executed. Your coloring is fantastic, and I love how you custom colored the largest rose and heather stalks. And I actually think it looks better without that bow and charm! Let's more of that gorgeous peachy paper show through. Thanks so much for joining us at AGOAC this week!
