Swinging Miss Daisy

Hello! Happy 4th to those of you in the U.S.A! I am back to share a tag using an image called, Daisy. It seems that Miss Daisy is a very popular girl as I am the third Mo DT to share a creation using her in a row! It is a perfect summer/spring image!

Here is my tag using this carefree image from Mo's Digital Pencil!
Scrapbook Maven card using Daisy from Mo's Digital Pencil, Copic markers, pearl pen, distress ink and mulberry paper flowers

I have used Maja paper and some new Spellbinders dies for the tag shape- Decorative Labels 28. I've added some WOC flowers and a few that I have from LLC. The butterfly is a cut off from a Whimsy Butterfly Border Die. Oh, and the leaf flourishes come from another new to me Spellbinders die- Sprigs! Some Walnut Stain Distress Ink and Viva Pearl Pen finish up the embellishments!

Have a wonderful weekend!

You should have come from Anneke's blog if you are already hopping. If this is your first stop then you'll want to start at Julie's blog. Be sure to leave comments along the way to be eligible for a prize!

For my card I have used To School, so I could make a thank you card to my son's teacher for the wonderful job she has done as all three of my boys' kindergarten teacher. Hopefully, my daughter will be lucky enough to be in her class in a year! Yes, my kids are still in school. I feel like we are the last district to still be going!

Back to School thank you card using To School by Mo Manning using Prima School Memories from Scrapbook Maven

The image reminds me of my youngest son as if he is ready and confident to go off to first grade!
I love the paper! It's Prima's School Memories. It has so many fun elements to cut out and embellish with.
Everything but the button and paper clip are from the paper.
Your next stop is Kaly! Happy hopping!

Exciting News!!

Preview of a pink Vintage card using Mo's Digital Pencil Lil Ballerina, paper flowers Maja Design papers and Prima embellishments

Good morning, everyone!! I am so nervously excited as I write this post. Please bare with me as it might be long but well worth sticking around for! I have been a stay at home mom for the past 10 years to my wonderful, amazing, exasperating and beautiful four children thanks to my generous and hard-working husband! He works from sun-up to sun-down, many times 6-7 days a week to allow me to stay at home and take care of our children. I have wanted for some time to contribute financially to take some of the stress and burden off of my husband's shoulders.
I have been working on a secret for some time ( a lot longer than expected, lol) and my husband and I are both very excited to share with the scrapbook world that I am opening an internet-based scrapbook store! I have a passion for crafting and what better way to help our family but to surround myself with something that I love!

I would like to introduce you all to my baby:

I hope you all can stop in and take a stroll around. I would love to hear any feedback you all have!

In honor of my new venture, I am offering a
15% discount off any orders made during my Grand Opening Weekend!
All you need to do is use coupon code maven2014 and you will save 15% on all products in your cart. I even have some items already at a discount, so you can double up the savings!!
Offer ends California time (Pacific) Sunday, March 2 at midnight.

All shipping terms can be found on the top menu of the Scrapbook Maven site. I offer flat rate shipping to the contiguous U.S. as well as free shipping for orders over $75. I also offer discounts for International customers!

I am so excited and I am sure I am leaving important things out, but I really wanted to let you all know of my wonderful blessing made possible by my husband and generous family members.

Here is a card I have made to share some of the fun goodies Scrapbook Maven has to offer!

Fairy Sleepy Boy

I have for you all today a mini album with the sweet Fairy Sleepy from Mo's Digital Pencil. as my focal image. This time I have colored it to be more boyish to go along with the album cover I have made using a Quick Quotes album kit that I won a month back!

Previously, I had colored Sleepy Fairy up more girly in this post for a card.

I had fun playing with the kit and coloring up the image to match. I think this will make a wonderful gift to an expecting mom to mark the milestones of baby's first year. Time flies by and it's always nice to have something pre-made to use. I always thought I would get to it with my kids and now my oldest is 9 and I haven't done a thing and now it's hard to go back and remember all the exact times all four of my kids reached their milestones. So this is something I think is a great gift for a family.

I used my Copics this time and Vintage Photo to distress everything. Everything on this album besides the image and distress ink, came with the kit! So easy and fun!

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful weekend!

Little Momma

I am so in love with this precious image by Mo Manning. Kady can be found at Mo's Digital Pencil. She is a new stamp and you must get her. Kady is so fun to color and look how sweet she is. I am sure we all know a little girl who is the best little mommy to her dolls. Sometimes I wish I would have another baby just because I know what a sweet little helper my daughter would be, but I let my common sense prevail, haha!

I uses MME's Love Me 6x6 paper pad and some Recollections corrugated cardstock for my layers. I gessoed and used Shabby Pink Frantage on the corrugated cardstock and a bit of gesso around the card. Wild Orchid craft flowers and Decorative Pins were my embellishments. I used Spun Sugar DI to pinkify the Carnations and I cut out a butterfly from some Maja paper, also. The wonderful sketch I used was from The Sketchy Challenges.

I hadn't colored with Distress Inks in a while because I didn't like the yellow, rough paper I had purchased on sale that I was using previously. So, I splurged (with a coupon, lol) on Canson paper. I've never heard of it before but it was the best in Michael's that was still a decent price. It's whiter and much smoother than the Strathmore.

For sweet Kady, I used the following Distress Ink Pads:

Skirt- Victorian Velvet
Sweater and Leggings- Black Soot
Hair-Antique Linen and Walnut Stain
Skin-Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo and Worn Lipstick
Ground- Frayed Burlap
Background- Weathered Wood and Black Soot

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!

Alisa with Roses

Happy New Year! This is my first blog post for the new year and Alisa with Roses, from Mo's Digital Pencil, is such a beautiful image with which to start the year off.

I have used Pink Paislee's London Market for my paper. I got the idea for the hearts from a beautiful layout I saw on the Maja blog as well as the pleats on the right hand side. I actually cut a butterfly from the paper and hid my cut using the peaking pleats. The frame is on ei made using the Martha Stewart molds.
I used WOC flowers and metal corner and of course Copic markers to color!

The colors are my usual suspects, very similar to this post and this post. The only differences are that I used E21 and E13, also, for the skin and V000 in place of the RV000.

Thank you for visiting today! Don't forget to stop by Mo's Dream Team blog to get twice daily inspiration!

April

I am back from all the Christmas merriness to share a card using April from Mo's Digital Pencil. I am sharing it over on Mo's Dream Team blog where there is new inspirational creations twice daily!

We had such a warm Christmas day (high 70's) that it didn't quite feel like Christmas. I am ready for Spring as I am looking forward to planting some new flowers in my garden. This image is so adorable and perfect for anyone who loves gardening.

I have used My Mind's Eye Bramble Rose. The vellum envelope is one that I made using my Silhouette along with the birdcage.  The wheelbarrow die is a my new Die-namites die and the flourish is Cheery Lynn. I have used Viva Decor pearl pen all over as well as Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.
The seam binding is dyed with Wild Honey. The perfectly matching vintage seed Packet image behind the birdcage was a image from the internet.
I was drawn to create a yellow dominant card, but I always think that photos never do it justice. In real life it's really fresh and bright and it makes me smile!

Copics
Hair: E00,13,15,18,59
Skin: E000,00,21,11, R20,22
Yellow: Y11,15,E13

And I Want A...

Well, I think this is my last Christmas card for the year! I didn't make nearly enough, so next year I must do better! I have used And I Want A..., from Mo's Digital Pencil. I think everyone can relate to this image! The boy on the left reminds me of my eldest who seemed not to know what to think of this stranger in red holding him! I have the picture we took of him framed and I smile every time I look at it!
I have used the MME Lost and Found Christmas Special Edition paper again. It seems I am feeling green this Christmas, which is unusual. I guess next Christmas I will have lots of red papers to use up! I again used my Silhouette to cut out these fun Christmas die cuts. I gessoed (is that a word?) them up but didn't quite like it so I cut out some white paper die cuts to overlap the kraft paper ones. I stitched and distressed the papers and stamped the tag for the envelope I made. Some twine and jingle bells finish it off.

This was a very colorful image and I think next time I will try a sepia toned one for a more neutral and vintage look!

I hope you like it and if I don't post again before Christmas,
"Merry Christmas!!"
Danielle:)

Fairy with Ladybug

I have finally gotten around to coloring up the third of the 3 Baby Fairies from Mo's Digital Pencil!
They are all so adorable and I don't know why I waited so long to color up this cute Baby Fairy with the Ladybug. I think this one may be my favorite but it's so hard to choose favorites when it comes to Mo Manning images!

I used my Silhouette for the card base and to make another one of my scalloped tag envelopes. This time I used vellum for my envelope and then stamped on it twice with a Tim Holtz background stamp. I quite like the double color stamp effect! The papers are MME Lost and Found 3 Oliver.

I used my Butterfly Edge die on plain and patterned paper and cut out the butterflies of the patterned paper like I have seen others do. Like that, too! I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch to punch out more butterflies which I adhered to a wood heart label which I gave a Crackle paint finish to. I attached some seam binding dyed with Weathered Wood and Chipped Sapphire to my tag. Cheesecloth, a doily and Liquid Pearls finish out my embellishments! Oh yeah, and some stitching!

Copics:
Skin: E000,00,21,11,13
Hair: E50,53,55,57
Blue: B0000,000,32,34,37

Carolers Three

Hello! I am sharing my Mo's Dream Team card for Mo's Digital Pencil with you all today. I have used Carolers Three, a perfect Christmas image!

I used the MME Lost and Found Christmas Special Edition 6x6 paper pad, sticking to the neutrals and greens. I used a bunch of die cuts and frantage! The kraft envelopes for my tags I handmade. The large one I hand cut with scallop scissors and created the small one in my Silhouette program. The pine cones in my flower cluster I also designed in Silhouette Studio. (If anyone knows how I can share my designs I would love to share them for free with anyone who wants them.)
On the tags I did some stamping of Christmas sentiments, Christmas trees and snowflakes. I added some glitter glue to the Merry Christmas on the background paper as a bit of star dust to fit the them at Live and Love Crafts. I also distressed and inked the paper edges with Walnut Stain DI.

I colored with my beloved Copics:
Skin: E000,00,21,11 R20,22
Hair: E50,53,57,59
E00,13,15,18
Red: R32,35,37,59 C9

Coat and Hat: E70,71,74,77
Dress: E50,51,55,57,59

Bubble Heart

I am happy to be back to share a card using Mo Manning's Bubble Heart! The image is so adorable I knew I had to color it up for a card for my husband.

I wish the picture came out a little better because the colors are more vibrant in person.

I used Pink Paislee's London Market and cut the butterfly out from one of the papers. The frame is made using a Martha Stewart mold and the stamp is a Prima stamp from the Printery collection. I destressed the edges of the paper and stitched and faux stitched some.

Baby Fairy Flora

Today is my day to share with you my card for Mo's Dream Team blog! I have used Baby Fairy Flora (redux), which you can find at Mo's Digital Pencil. I have loved this image from the moment I saw it and am so happy to have finally snatched her up and colored her!
She is absolutely adorable! I know I seem to say that a lot about Mo's images, but they are ALL SO CUTE!

I have used Pink Paislee's London Market papers and Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers. I got out my Pear Pen again and my Shabby Pink Frantage.

The sweet frame I made using a Martha Stewart silicone mold and the crafting clay that goes along with it. I have had it for awhile and finally opened it up and had a play!

I wanted to use my doily border punch for a shaped card look but didn't have the corner punch, so I used another corner punch I had and it came out okay.

The heart tag I attached some seam binding dyed with Spun Sugar DI and attached a Pearl button. I also stamped a crest with a bee from Prima on the tag which, of course, I didn't photograph.

Copics used:

Skin-E000,00,21,11,R20, 22
Hair-E50,53,55,57, 59
Pink-RV000, R81,83,85

Tabitha

Today I am sharing a card I have made using the cutest little witch in digi-land, Tabitha from Mo's Digital Pencil.
Since I made my little nephew a card, I decided to make his sisters a card, too! I used some Teresa Collins Haunted Hallows papers and my silhouette for the black die cuts. I decided to add the tree's face with my craft knife at the last minute. I added some white get pen to the bat's wing overlapping the haunted house die cut to help it pop!

The sentiment is a cut out from the same old paper pad from Joann's that I used on my Zombified card.

Copics Colors:
Skin- E000,00,11,21, R20
Hair- E50,53,57,59

Tuesday's Child

Happy Friday- Saturday, yikes, I forgot to hit publish!! I have a boy card to share with you all using a Mo's Digital Pencil image, Tuesdays Child (Boy).

Since I have three boys, all of whom play baseball, I figured this would be the perfect image to make a card. I tried my hand at Copic clouds for the first time. Before I was using DI's and a handmade
cloud template. I am quite happy with my first attempt.
Colors I used:

Grass: YG03, 63, 67 and white gel pen
Clouds: B0000, C0 and Colorless Blender
Uniform and shoes: B32, 34, 37, 39, C0, 3, 5, 7, 9
Mitt: E00, 13, 15, 18

I hope you all like my boy card! I need to make them a lot more than I do, for sure!
Danielle:)
