Altered Jewelry Armoire using Gilded Lily by Graphic 45

Good morning! Today is an eventful day! I have a fun project to share with you all, as well as it being my birthday and the 4th anniversary of starting this little blog! So, thank you to all who have stopped by, left comments and supported me in my love of crafting! I plan to get a give-away going soon in celebration of this milestone, so keep an eye out. I have been behind with everything since the kiddos got out of school for the summer, but I will get myself together soon!
So, on to the project! I am so happy with this and my daughter even more so! I have turned a thrift store find into something fit for my little princess!
Here is the before:

As you may notice, it was missing its glass on the left side. I used it as an excuse to get creative which you will see below in my parade of photos! ;)

Now for the after, using the gorgeous Gilded Lily Collection by Graphic 45:

I painted the armoire with white paint, dry brushed on some gold paint and used Mod Podge to adhere the papers and seal the whole thing. I used the 8x8 and 12x12 papers from the Gilded Lily Collection to get the patterns and images just as I wanted them. It was so much fun and my daughter loves it!
I bought this jewelry armoire for $2.50!!! Can you believe it?!
I'm now a little obsessed with my local thrift store, LOL! What amazing deals have you snatched up from your thrift store? I'd love to hear about it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Opposites Attract Cards using Graphic 45's New Mon Amour Collection

Good morning! I have some cards to share using another of Graphic 45's new collections! When I saw the Mon Amour Collection, I loved how bold and, at the same time, soft the papers are. Thinking of how opposite that is and how opposite I am from my own Amour, I thought it would be fun to make two cards: one dark and bold card, perfect for my husband, and one that is softer and more feminine, like me ;)
Tip: I love distressing the paper edges and using Gesso to soften the look of my cards for a shabby chic, romantic feel.

Mini Album using Graphic 45's New World's Fair Collection

Hi, all! It's an exciting day today! Today is the start of Graphic 45's sneak peeks of their brand new collections for Summer 2015!!! Preorders will be available soon after the Sneak Peeks of all the Collections!

First up is the super fun and bright World's Fair. I love how versatile this collection is- inspirational projects, kids projects, summer fun- the possibilities are endless.

This Collection was a blast to work with! I loved all the images and, especially, the hot air balloons. I went through 3 sheets of Balloon Bouquet in order to get all the hot air balloon images I wanted, as I decorated my mini everywhere with them! I even put away my go-to tab punch and used the fussy cut hot air balloons as my tabs! It was a fun way to change things up and it gave the album such a fun and unique look that just added to the whimsy of the album!

Here is a video walk through of this fun mini and pictures galore below!

Boxed Mini Album Using Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs

HI all! I have a Graphic 45's Team Project to share using Raining Cats and Dogs. I have used the Mixed Media Box to make it into a boxed Mini Album and I love how it turned out!

When I first saw the Raining Cats and Dogs Collection, I immediately thought of my good friend who loves animals so much she became a Vegan! I knew I wanted to make her a mini album to house the special photos of her with her fur babies, so I altered a Mixed Media Box to turn it into an all-in-one Boxed Mini Album.
Tip: For each album page, try focusing on two main colors with a pop of a third color to ensure a cohesive look that is not too busy and enhances the focus on the photo.

I have a Video Walk-through of the Album and TONS of photos. At the bottom, I put together a list of everything I used to create this mini!
