Grow a Little Love

Another good morning to you all! I hope you didn't miss my post earlier where I shared my card for Kenny K's new challenge: Squares! This week at Stamptacular Sunday we are challenging you to make something inspired by Spring!

We are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps with a $10 Gift Voucher!

For my card I used one of the adorable Wryn stamps by Tiddly Inks called 'Grow a Little Love'.

I got out my Copics to color her up. The coloring was fun, but I struggled with the card. There were certain elements I was obsessed  with using really wanted to use, so I did my best to make them work. I used a wood heart that I white washed and inked, a Tim Holtz pin, and some MMW paper scraps. I used a Whimsy stamp for the sentiment and WOC flowers.
I'm down to slim pickings on my flowers because I've been putting off my order as several items are out of stock :( I'll soon have to get really creative without them and make more CAS cards or something, lol.  I added some white paint to my flowers to tone the yellow down. I seem to be into adding white paint to everything lately!

Here's a close up of sweet Wryn:

The lovely ladies over at the Stamptacular Sunday blog have some more 'Spring' creation to inspire you with so don't forget to check them out and join in on the fun!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! Today at the Kenny K's Krafty Krew blog, we are sharing our cards for the new challenge this week:
Being Square

We are sponsored by
$20 Gift Certificate

 and
£10 Gift Certificate

My card was made awhile back for my nephew and so it's not Easter-ish at all! I used the awesome Dragon Rider, which I chose because my nephew is really into dragons.
I was rushing to get it done before we left for his party, so you might notice how my design paper is sideways:(

This image took forever to color but was well worth it I think. So much fun!

I did ask for my sister's okay before giving my nephew the card due too the scantily clad woman, After the many hours spent coloring it, I was relieved that she did okay it, lol!

If dragons aren't your style, check out the other creations from the rest of Team A at the Kenny K blog and please join in this super easy challenge!

Heidi

Hi all! Today I have my last card to share with you as a March Guest Designer for Wee Stamps. I am bummed that it will soon be over, but I had so much fun this month coloring up and sharing Sylvia Zet's super amazing and adorable images! I will definitely be buying more!
For today's card, I have used sweet 'Heidi'. She and all Wee Stamps will are will be also available as rubber stamps at Whimsy Stamps.

I have colored her up with Distress Ink. I used random papers and distressed them with walnut stain. I used Fran-tage Shabby Gold, I think (it's chunky white with bits of gold!), to the edge of some of the papers and the blue flowers to give them a snowy look.

I've also used some Liquid Pearls Platinum on the falling snow. The flowers are WOC, as are the pearl stamens. I am drawn to neutral colors with a pop of color, so I am really pleased with this card. I hope you all like it, too! Thanks for looking and have a great Easter weekend!

Another Birthday Boy!

Good Wednesday morning to you all! I have another card to share with you using the adorable 'Birthday Baby Boy' by Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps. This sweet boy and all her stamps are or will be also available as rubber stamps at the Whimsy Stamps store.

This version is colored with Copics.

I had just bought these cute mini clothespins, so I had to find a way to use them! Next time I'll use them farther into the card, so they're not sticking out so much, but it works for where the banner is for now:)

I tried a gesso-like look with some semi dried out white paint and really like how it transformed the card giving it just a little something extra!

Well, I hope this card finds some admirers out there, lol! Have a fabulous Wednesday and rest of the week leading up to Easter. Local weather here is threatening rain, boo! We shall see!

As you might notice from my posts I'm not much of a talker/typer, but I would like to say a few things to all you lovely crafters. Thank you all for your wonderful comments you leave for me! They really mean so much and make my day! Like I've said before, I don't have anyone IRL who is into paper crafting like me, so it's so nice to be able to blog about it and 'socialize' with other crafty people in blogland. Thank you!

Fairy Fae

Good morning fellow crafters! We have a new challenge for you at the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge blog:
Fuzzy Friends

We are being sponsored this week by Magnolia-licious with a surprise prize!

I had the pleasure of working with this gorgeous stamp by Delicious Doodles called 'Fairy Fae'. I colored her up with my Copics and used my favorite paper pad of the moment: Prima's Nature Garden! I can't seem to get bored with it like the rest! I guess it's time to by some new paper, so I can get some variety!

I used Wild Orchid Craft roses and Prima flowers and some Say it in Crystals bling. I printed the digital image again and colored two of the butterflies and cut them out for some extra decorations around the card and called it finished. I wanted it pretty simple to focus the attention on 'Fairy Fae'.

I hope you all like it and I want to say a big thank you to all who are following me and commenting. It means a lot to hear such wonderful comments! Have a wonderful Sunday and don't forget to join in the fun at Stamptacular Sunday.

Wee Stamps New Release

Good morning! I am so excited! Wee Stamps is releasing two new stamps and is showcasing cards with theses images today and tomorrow. I am lucky enough as one of the Guest Designers of March to be one of the first to get to play with them!
Today I am showing you my card introducing the new 'Love You Slow Much'. It is absolutely adorable and I had so much fun coloring her up with my Distress Inks. Yes, you heard me right! I tried the DI's again and I'm loving the look it gives for the Wee Stamps!

I used Prima's Nature Garden papers and Wild Orchid Craft flowers. I also used a metal corner from WOC that I used Stampendous Fran-tage embossing powder on to soften the look. The butterfly is cut from the paper and I used some thick paint along the edges. I also added some glitter glue to the wings and the flowers in her hair.

Look how sweet they are! Awww!
There is more inspiration to gaze at by the other talented GDT's at the Sylvia Zet blog of the new release images, so go check it out!

All Wee Stamps images are or will be also available as rubber stamps through Whimsy Stamps.

Feeling Green

Happy Tuesday morning! I have a card to share with you all! I don't usually make a card for Party Time Tuesday as I am one of the Sponsor Coordinators, but I made a card that fit the bill for this weeks challenge using a Wee Stamp. I received it as I am a March Guest Designer for the Sylvia Zet blog!

The challenge at PTT is 'Luck of the Irish', so I was inspired to make a green card with the adorable 'Sweet Blossom'. She and all other Wee Stamp images are or will be also available as rubber stamps through Whimsy Stamps for all you rubber lovers!

Here is my card...it turned out o'bit busy, but it's grown on me!

I used a Tim Holtz Butterfly On the Edge die (I had just bought it so had to use it!), Wild Orchid Craft flowers and Prima papers. The tag was from the paper pad, also. The lovely rub-on in the lower right corner is from The Robin's Nest and I stamped 'sweet' to fit perfectly inside. The seam binding was dyed using either Peeled Pain or Forest Moss DI. Sorry, can't remember :-/  I distressed the paper edges and inked them with Vintage Photo.

I hope you all find some inspiration in it and please check out the PTT blog and see what the DT have created! We are being sponsored by The Robin's Nest, Bunny Zoe's Crafts and Paper Nest Dolls, so there are many awesome prizes to be won!

Truly CAS

Hello! I have been having Tiddly Inks withdrawal and when I saw what the new challenge was I knew I could take a few moments out of my busy schedule to squeeze in some Tiddly Inks time! It is CAS and I have been wanting to make a card that is super simple with the image as the only decoration. I have always seen them and loved them, so I knew that was the CAS design I would use.

The image is 'Wryn- Close to My Heart'. I thought the winged heart would look great with a black and red theme and the sentiment font I thought worked really well. I tried adding a nose to her and think it looks pretty cute! I drew the black frame because I felt like I needed to do more, but I think I would've liked it better without it? I don't know. I love how it turned out never the less! Hope you all do, too!

Challenges I'd like to enter:

Sketch Time

***This is my second post today. If you would like to see my "Pearls and Lace" card for Kenny K's challenge this week please scroll down!***

It's another week and another challenge at Stamptacular Sunday! This week it's a sketch:

We are sponsored by the Paper Temptress offering a $25 gift certificate and Stampalicious offering the winner one stamp!

For my card I was trying to make a birthday card for my son's friend whose party was in a few hours. Well, I tried to color fast but still took too long. Thankfully, I had a back up card. Now this card will be added to my stash:

The sentiment is computer generated and I have my usual boy card eyelets. I used an embossing folder and silver paint for the 'metal' layer. The image is my favorite boy image, 'Ryder Cole' from Kenny K.

I apologize for the super short post, but I am wiped out from a day in the sun at the baseball fields for my boys' opening day and first game. Every other day it's practice or a game for someone, so my crafting time is going to be hard to come by. Boohoo! Pity party!

Anyways, please join the challenge this week! The ladies have done some beautiful cards for you all, so check them out here!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Color Me Creative (anything goes)
Craft Us Crazy (Anything Goes)
Simon Says Stamp (Anything Goes)

Pearls and Lace

Good morning! I am so excited that Sunday has rolled around and it is Team A's turn to get you inspired with another challenge! It is Lace and pearls this week! So easy and fun!

We are sponsored by Kenny K Downloads
One winner will get to choose five digis

and our second winner is sponsored by Loves Rubber Stamps
The winner will receive a stamp up to a value of $10

Here's my card and I am very happy with it. First off , it has the super delightful 'Parasol Paige' for the image (which is brand new!!) and I am using Prima's Almanac papers that I have been hoarding! Plus, it has pearls, one of which is inside one of my hand rolled flowers! Second, I recycled some lace from an old bra (yeah, it sounds weird) bordering the second paper layer. Third, is has feathers! Love adding feathers!

Fourth, I embellished the card with a butterfly and clock that I cut out of the paper! The butterfly I glossy accented in the black parts for added strength and dimension.
I colored with Copics. C03,5,7,9 and R20, 22, 35

Hope you all like my card and join in on the challenge. Don't forget to check out the other DT's gorgeous lace and pearl cards over at the Kenny K Krafty Krew blog.
