Spooky Shadow Box Pumpkin with Graphic 45

Rare Oddities is a fussy cutters dream Halloween collection! As soon as I saw some craft pumpkins in my local big box craft store, I knew how I wanted to combine the two to make THE perfect Halloween décor piece for my home! I carved out a large ‘window’ to reveal the hollow inside, used my Art-C Groove tool to sand the rough edges down, painted the inside black and went to town adding all sorts of fussy cut elements to create a spooky 3D scene inside my pumpkin! Since Halloween is best suited to celebrate in the dark of night, I added some lights to highlight areas inside the pumpkin. I had so much fun making this project and the best part of my pumpkin carving adventure is that this pumpkin can be enjoyed for many Halloweens to come!

Tip #1: Want something not so dark and spooky- try a festive orange or white craft pumpkin.

Tip #2: Love the look but overwhelmed with the space to fill? Start by choosing larger fussy cut elements to create the main scene and fill in the rest with finer fussy cuts; or, fill in using ready-made embellishments to save time.
